Kitten Gallery Present

To give more space for pictures of kittens available shortly, I have started a new page, Current Kittens Photos of any litters we currently have will be displayed on this page first of all. Our latest litter was born on Boxing Day. We currently have one kitten looking for a suitable, permanent, loving home, Echo. He will be available to go to his new home around the 4th/5th April. Please contact us to make enquiries.

Image of Sophie as a Kitten
This photo is of our queen, Sophie, as a kitten. She's very cute, isn't she?! If you want to see a larger picture, I've indulged on this occasion and clicking on the small image will allow you to open a much bigger image.

Sophie and Kingfisher's Kittens Sophie's first litter of kittens were born on the 16th of January 2007 and a lovely little bunch they are, too. The kittens' father is Ch Genetta Kingfisher, who is also a Blue Point. Here are the first photos of them. I hope to add a short video clip soon. They will be ready to leave around mid-April to loving, permanent homes. If you are interested in owning one of Sophie's lovely babies, please contact us to discuss. Here is a link to our Kitten Sale Agreement. This is based on the suggested kitten sale agreement on the GCCF site and really just sets down in writing what most breeders we know expect from prospective owners although not all will have written agreements. You can see the document here, Kitten Sale Agreement The kitten sale agreement covers purchases of kittens purely as pets not to be bred from. Very occasionally, we are prepared to sell a female kitten to fully vetted and recommended breeders and if you are interested in this you should contact us so that we can discuss this properly.

Our Ninth Litter - Lagniappe Lilythe Pink 24c (Lili) x Emerpus Cambrian 24(Brian)

After discussing the problems of the previous pregnancy and birth with our vets, who thought it had been a freak incident, we decided to give Lili another chance and took her to stud again - this time with a completely different stud who was very much an outcross to her. However, following a completely normal pregnancy, disaster struck again and, despite all Lili's efforts, and the vets, she had to have a caesarian section again. This time only one kitten survived, another Seal Point boy, who we called Merlin. Merlin later turned out to be a girl! She lives happily with her new family and doesn't worry about her male/female identity crisis. It wouldn't have been fair to put Lili through any further pregnancies or labours, and certainly not through another section, so we had her neutered in December last year. She is now able to have more freedom in terms of going outdoors, which she loves when the weather is reasonable, and she remains a much-loved pet. She has, recently, been teaching our new girl, Sophie, the ropes in terms of motherhood. Sometimes we think Sophie takes advantage as Lili does a fair bit of babysitting duty!

Our Eighth Litter - Lagniappe Lilythe Pink 24c (Lili) x Mafdet Braveheart 24(Wallace)Image of Wallace

Mafdet Braveheart On right 'Wallace' who is the kittens' father.

With our eighth litter, disaster struck and, unfortunately, Lili had to have a caesarian section. Only two kittens survived, both Seal Point boys. They were born on the 9th September 2004. They continue to thrive in their new homes, despite one of them, Zebedee, being over-adventurous and suffering a road traffic accident. He is doing fine following surgery to his hip and later his tail after another mishap.

Zebedee at his new Home

And what about when they go on to their new homes and grow up - what do they look like then?! Here's Zebedee in his new home - or rather his garden - this was just before he started catching live prey - much to his owner, Carolyn's, disgust! Apparently, he's the ringleader the Spaniels follow! Zebedee is quite a character and was often known to "ride the younger spaniel like Lester Piggott"! Even though Carolyn has had a Siamese before, this was certainly the first time she'd experienced this sort of character.

Sorry I didn't manage to capture a moment with Zebedee 'riding his horse'! Perhaps another time!

Our Seventh Litter - Lagniappe Lilythe Pink 24c (Lili) x Tamorie Hewgotubalz 32/3 (Hewgo)

Feeding Time at the Zoo! After our long break, it was quite strange to be breeding again. What a lovely litter we had, though. Chirachai Cleo 32/3, Sophie 32/8 (whose colour was the subject of much debate and who has now been re-registered as a Caramel Tabby), Jasper 32/4, Image of Cleoand Neo 32/3 (Legolas) were born in November 2003. Left is another photo of Cleo which doesn't work with the slideshow but is too cute to miss out!

They grow up too! Here is Neo - now called Legolas - in his new home and all grown up.Image of Legolas Legolas was later joined by another Siamese. His other animal companions are three dogs.
